Ohio’s Mental Health and Addiction Conference-The Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities (OACBHA) held its annual Mental Health and Addiction Conference on June 1–2 in Columbus, Ohio. Bridget Sherman from Ashtabula County Mental Health & Recovery Services (MHRS) Board co-presented a session on Recovery Friendly Workplace with colleagues from the Communities of Practice for the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (COP-RCORP). The presentation highlighted strategies for creating recovery-supportive workplaces and demonstrated the value of regional collaboration to improve outcomes for individuals in recovery.
Ashtabula County MHRS Board continues to prioritize representation at state and national conferences to share the innovative work being done locally and highlight the accomplishments of our community partners. These opportunities allow Ashtabula County to showcase successful initiatives, build partnerships, and bring valuable resources and ideas back to our community.
