On September 7th, 2024, the Ashtabula County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board held its annual One Life Race, focusing on suicide prevention. Over 100 community members attended the event. The Race aimed to raise awareness about suicide, promote prevention strategies and provide support for those affected by suicide in the community. Participants gathered to run the 5K or walk a 1-mile route, all in solidarity for this critical cause.

The One Life Race highlighted the message that every life is valuable, with T-shirts stating, “Dear Person Behind Me, Life is better with you here! Love, The Person In Front of You.” Proceeds from the event will directly support the Ashtabula County Suicide Prevention Coalition, helping to save lives and bring hope to those who may be struggling.
