Ashtabula County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board traveled to Columbus on May 7th and 8th to attend the 11th Annual TIC (Trauma Informed Care Summit.) This year’s theme was “Time to Reflect, Adapt and Innovate.” It was hosted by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Developmental Disabilities, Health, and Youth Services. They stated that the purpose of the summit was to move our systems beyond being trauma-informed to providing trauma-responsive and competent care, learning, and reflecting on what the past years have taught us, adapting in resilient ways to forge innovative paths forward. The summit featured captivating keynote speakers and enriching breakout sessions, offering ample opportunities for learning and gaining valuable insights.
