This course is designed to provide relevant information and skills related to engagement and building a strong therapeutic alliance with clients, along with how that alliance will positively impact the treatment planning process.

This course introduces participants to group facilitation skills that enhance their ability to lead effective groups with a focus on the use of change language, motivational interviewing and trauma informed principles in group facilitation.

Group Engagement and Processes for Diverse Populations – Presented by: Jim Hyland

This course will provide education on the administration of groups to diverse, and sometimes resistant populations, in different settings. During the training, participants will be given opportunities to practice skills in real time with fellow participants. Participants will learn how to engage with their clients properly, effectively, and ethically in order to provide the best possible therapeutic outcomes.
